FAQs
What is VA Disability Compensation?
VA Disability Compensation is a tax-free monthly payment for veterans with injuries, illnesses, or conditions that were caused or worsened by their military service. It can also apply to certain secondary conditions linked to a service-connected disability.
Who is eligible?
You may be eligible if:
You served on active duty, active duty for training, or inactive duty training.
You have a current diagnosed condition.
The condition was caused or aggravated by your military service (direct service connection) or by another service-connected condition (secondary service connection).
How does Battle Breacher TX help?
We work together with the veteran to identify the following forms of evidence:
Medical evidence (VA or private medical records).
Service records (showing when/where you served).
Nexus evidence (link between service and condition — can be a doctor’s opinion or medical literature).
We work closely with each veteran to identify and develop every claim with care and precision. Just as every military journey is unique, so is every VA claim. We approach each case with a tailored strategy to ensure it is accurate, well-supported, and highly effective.
How does the VA decide my rating and can I get compensation for multiple conditions?
Ratings are given in 10% increments (10%, 20%, 30%, etc.).
Based on the VA Schedule for Rating Disabilities (VASRD).
Higher ratings = more severe symptoms and greater monthly compensation.
The VA uses combined rating system, which is not a simple sum.
Example: 50% + 30% ≠ 80%, it actually combines to 65%, rounded to 70%.
